Encuesta nacional Niñez, Adolescencia y Tecnologías Digitales en Costa Rica

La Internet es un recurso fundamental de acceso a información aprendizaje, comunicación, entretenimiento, participación social, creación y construcción de conocimiento que está indeleblemente ligada a la socialización e individuación de las nuevas generaciones. Como otros contextos en el que crecen los niños y jóvenes, ésta ofrece oportunidades y riesgos. La encuesta Kids Online tiene por objetivo hacer una medición y diagnóstico periódico de los tipos de usos de la Internet, considerando los usos beneficiosos, oportunidades, limitaciones y riesgos de la Internet en niñas, niños y adolescentes entre los 9 y los 17 años. Para ello interroga tanto a las y los menores como a sus cuidadores.

The Internet is a fundamental resource for access to information, learning, communication, entertainment, social participation, creation and construction of knowledge that is indelibly linked to the socialization and individuation of the new generations. Like other contexts in which children and young people grow up, it offers opportunities and risks. The Kids Online survey aims to make a periodic measurement and diagnosis of the types of uses of the Internet, considering the beneficial uses, opportunities, limitations and risks of the Internet in children and adolescents between 9 and 17 years of age. To do so, it interrogates both minors and their caregivers.
